Ginza Photogramm

October 4th, 2006

Not sure what this is about exactly, I assume pictures taken of Ginza over the decades. Ginza is probably one of the most photographically fertile places on this planet so anything like this would be worth seeing.

They are prints of photographs on material and draped from the lamp-posts. Looked at half of them and they’re not all taken in Ginza (unless HCB’s jumping man was taken locally). Not sure it works well as a meduium of display as the wind disrupts your viewing pleasure. However, it least it brings some decent photography to the Ginza shoppers. Agree with your comment about Ginza being a fertile place for taking photographs. Only ‘discovered’ this early in the year and now the weather’s cooling down again looking forward to discovering some more.

Hi, I noticed the flags were all different and had a feeling that was it. I hoped that it was just the advertising.

Speaking of public photography, how about all those shots displayed out the South Exit of Shinjuku station? I would like to see that kind of exhibit happen more often around Tokyo.
